Transitional
This classification is only for NZCCA Student Affiliates who have recently graduated.
We recognise that the transition from being a student and going into counselling practice can be a difficult season. Many students take some time to assess their work options after graduating, and many apply months after they graduate. It is for this reason that we have created a ‘Transitional’ database. Transitional contacts still receive the same emails as Student Affiliates. We can keep people on this database for up to 1 year (to 31 December) at no charge.
Please be aware that the longer you wait to apply for Provisional Membership the harder the process is i.e. it is best to apply while your skills and experience is ‘professionally current’. After training or learning any new skills it is really important that they are used (practiced) so that they are natural and intuitive. Having down time immediately after graduating can mean you lose some of your skills and confidence, because they are not yet solidified.
Please advise the NZCCA Administrator info@nzcca.org.nz if you wish to move onto this database.
